1. Create VTN Profiles

Use one VTN profile per endpoint/environment pair. Keep profile names environment-specific such as "PJM QA" or "ISO Prod Mirror".

2. Register Devices

Create device records per logical telemetry source. Keep stable resource IDs and report specifier IDs for auditable report continuity.

3. Configure Poll and Report Cadence

Polling intervals should align with VTN expectations and network reliability. Start with 60-second polling and increase only when needed.

4. EiReport Telemetry

GridMango runtime currently supports automated telemetry reports in watts for deterministic test workflows. Confirm end-to-end VTN acknowledgments in logs.

5. Optional Certificate Authentication

When certificate workflows are required by the VTN, upload client cert and key assets to your profile and validate handshake success before runtime testing.
